ABOUT

Anna Harvey creates original designs for jewellery, working primarily in gouache paint at a level of detail that can allow easy translation into manufacturing blueprints. She has designed an original piece that was accepted for manufacture by a luxury jeweller, as well as creating designs featured in various art exhibitions at the Big Arts Gallery in Florida, USA and the Bruce Museum in Connecticut, USA. She is a  graduate of Durham University, with a BA in Anthropology and Archaeology and is pursuing a Masters in Fine Jewellery Design at Istituto Marangoni in London.

Anna discovered a passion for jewellery design in high school when she designed a line of jewellery based on fairytales from different cultures. Since then, she has furthered her love of jewellery design through creating numerous designs, earning the Applied Jewelry Professional Credential™ through the Gemological Institute of America, and working at an estate jewellery store. Her main influences include the Art Deco period as well as various aspects of nature that she incorporates in her designs. An artist’s task involves communicating visual ideas to their audience. Anna feels this is especially important in jewellery design as the designs are created with the intention of being used as blueprints for manufacturing pieces.
